Sachin Tendulkar, a name that any cricket lover in the whole world would take pride to speak of. In India his status is God like - but it has been hard earned, every bit of it. The things that he has done for Indian cricket and world cricket altogether has been a revelation. Nobody earns a place in The Great Sir Dons Eleven just like that. The world over people come to see Sachin score loads of runs even though its against their team.
Coming back to his reputation, Sachin has been playing Cricket for over 12 years now and never once have we seen him argue with any bowler or take on the umpires. The only mistake that he did on the field in the second test when bowling was to clean the edges of the seam without informing the umpires. It wasnt as if he did something to the ball and South Africa suffered a batting collapse.
Any sane match refree should consider the track record of a player before making such a big statement against him. Particularly Tendulkar. Admitted that the mistake was made but the match refree put things into nasty perspectives with the decisions that he took. I think that what the match refree did was a disrepute to his whole fraternity and he should be banned for life. As it is at 62 years of age, hes the one who is liable to act more like a kid and is liable for punishment.
