Agreed and accepted, he had been (mind my tense ’’HAD’’) one of the better cricketers of India. But definitely not now. He is a liability to the time. Whats the point in blaming the Sight-screen, tennis elbow, umpires, etc... when he could not play for the country. And when , if at all he plays one innings, then shout from the roof top.
If any one in their right sense, could just reflect upon the years of his play, how many test match centuries has won a match for India. Could any one say the numbers. We could really never say. NOT EVEN ONE...!
All those 34 centuries is for his personal best, at the expense of the team. To claim his spot in the team. He is another of Gavaskar’s mould.
I would never say ’’The Best’’, even if the paid-up journalists over hype this aged, self centred, money crazy...
India will be doubly benefited if this model-turned somewhat battable cricketer hangs his boots and concentrate on modelling instead.
