A typical Shetty run restaurant with no trace of authenticity, Ambience and decor depicts some sensibility and follows a pink floral design all over, But food lacks character, The chicken kebabs we ordered were half done with the rawness clearly indigestible, would avoid a repeat visit, The menu claims to be Indian, exotic names in the menu are clearly deceptive. Shetty restaurants are professionally managed , provide a very good and quick service but the the problem with these restaurants is they lack any character in the food they serve, You can predict the kind of food you can get here, My suggestion to the management is to engage chefs and cooks who can do justice to the Menu.
My honest opinion about Mangalore restaurants in Mumbai is that they do not serve food that is anywhere close to south Indian or north Indian food, The Sambhar in vegetarian restaurants is sweet to satisfy the large Gujarati clientele, Compare this with flavoursome Andhra and " Darshini " restaurants in Bangalore,
However these particular class of so called Udipi restaurants thrive in Mumbai owing to the cosmopolitan populace of Mumbai largely unaware of the true flavor that defines various classes of Indian food , and is happy with the super fast service they provide......
