Admitted there; It took us almost 10 hours to get him discharged as the hospital authorities right from the senior doctors, nurses, to
Duty doctors, the insurance and the billing depts all are a bunch of robbers.
They show a sheer sense of inhumanity and told me that they cant discharge him though the insurance agents were ready to pay the
Bills. They wanted the whole process to be stalled for one more night so that they could bill us extra.
The senior doctor knowing well enough that the insurance processing shuts down at 4:00 pm (so I had been there from 1:00 pm telling
Them to complete the formatlities) makes his appearence at 6:30 and then has instructed all the other staff to delay the proceeding’s.
The Doctor who is 80 years old; I cant believe that he can loot you like this, makes me lose trust in the entire system. When I went back to him; he tries to escalate the entire procedure by calling around which he could have done much earlier.
After much of running around, (since it is one of the most ill managed organizations found in India) some duty doctors even expressed their own helplessness as management had told them to do such a thing. The security at the door trying to show he also is powerful by stopping each person at the door for atleast 15 mins- however urgent the situation maybe; the insurance desk guy and the duty doctors having fun at you.
I feel all doctors here have a revenue target and they suck you out of cash at the slightest possible chance. Finally I literally had to threaten them and get the billing done which was finally done after 10 hrs of long wait. I have never come across such a badly managed place- I have made up my mind and also would never miss an opportunity to tell all the people in my company (& friends across bangalore) and also my insurance agents not to have this hospital on their lists.
No doubt even Sagar’s website doesn’t have a feedback system as they very well are aware of the kind of criminal act they are doing everyday.
