Jagjit Singh is indisputably one of the most talented Ghazal singer. I am a great fan of his. Ghazals are making way into the hearts of millions universally and undoubtedly Jagjit singh’s fabulous voice has kindled this change. His works are cherished equally by all generations.
Jagjit singh’s choice of simple and passionate lyrics make most of the songs memorable. There is ajeeb kashish and dard in his voice that makes his ghazals so special. His ghazals do a great job in delivering human emotions like passion, pain, depth, grief and love, The range of emotions he displays in his works are unmatchable. Listening to his ghazals invoke all sorts of emotions in you. He might be singing for more than three decades now, but the quality of his voice has not changed which is pretty amazing.
