The movie is good with respect to music, acting by newcomers and background score. I wont discuss the storyline; as it has already been done in the previous reviews. A few things in the movie pinched me; would like to put them across:
1) Parshya and Archie could have become something in life and then thought of eloping. What was the harm in abstaining before becoming economically independent? I have come across loads of couples who dont think of getting hitched before becoming self-reliant. Eloping with some qualification to back on would have been a smarter move. Parshya was a college topper. Did career mean nothing to him?
2) In the end, how come none of the neighbours could hear any cries from Archie-Parshyas home when both of them were being attacked? Did the assailants use revolver with a silencer to gun them down?
3) Is a 1-2 year-old child matured enough to understandblood anddeath? He sees his parents lying in a pool of blood and concludes that they are dead; and then starts running leaving bloody footsteps behind! Where on earth exists a toddler with such an exceptional IQ? His name should have featured in Guinness Book of World Records as of now.
I watched the movie again on Zee Marathi on 2nd Oct. A few more flaws stuck me. They are:
1) Prince was head over heels after Parshya, Archi, Salya and Langdya. Then after both of them eloped to Hyderabad, why did Prince leave Salya and Langdya alive?
2) Parshya and Archi had neither ID proof nor address proof. How could they go in for registered marriage then?
3) How could Suman akka figure out that Parshya and Archie had come from Maharashtra? Speaking throughout in Telugu, how did she start conversing with Parshya and Archie in Marathi?
4) Parshya, Archi, Salya and Langdya boarded the ST bus from Bitargaon. Then how was the same bus going to Bitargaon only? How could the starting point as well as end-point of the bus be the same(Bitargaon)?
Mr. Nagraj Manjule had mentioned in one of his interviews that he had got rejected in love due to his caste; and Fandry depicted the same thing. Now, Mr. Manjule, my question to you is: Should all the youngsters simply cherish their love and not care a damn about their career? You also ventured into the film industry after completing your post-graduation; then why send wrong signals to the present generation? YourFandry hero was not even a teenager!
Besides, movies are meant to awaken the masses; not to leave them in splits. You should have ended the movie on a happy note wherein parents would have been delighted at the birth of their grandson and forgiven the couple. Sorry to say Mr. Nagraj; but Mani Ratnam is better than you on this count. He had broughtBombay with happy ending.
Get a life; Mr. Nagraj. Your Sairat will encourage more people to engage inso-called honor killing:-(
Hope your next flick shows Parshyas and Archies son in the positive light.
