Today I wish to share my review on movie named sakka podu podu raja released on 22nd December 2017 directed by G.L.Sethuraman through VTV productions.
Involvements of starrings santhanam, vaibhavi shandilya, vivek, sanjana singh, sampathraj, robo shankar are of good numbers.
If we see the story of this movie, the movie starts like hero does love marriage for his friend for a big rowdies sister. After that hero thinks, If he stays at same city then its risky for all of them. So he escapes through train with the newly married couple pair to another city named bangalore.
After going there hero unfortunately falls on love with a girl who is again a sister of a big rowdy over there. Story goes as such like regular one side love coverted into double side love & finally heroine accepts love.
But there comes a twist. In a fight scene where some rowdies tries chasing to kill heroine, hero struggles lot to save heroine. Suddenly a there comes a car of the 1st rowdly & he saves heroine where the twist starts.
The twist is that particular heroine is the 2nd sister of that rowdy who’s 1st sister was been married by heros friend with the help of hero. The rowdy comes to know that his 2nd sister also has been fallen in love with someone and he got too anger on thinking that his 2nd sister will also ran away like his 1st sister. So, he gets his sister back to his native tamilnadu to get married with a guy whose was been fixed for his 1st Sister to get back his ethical image on society and after reaching his native rowdy asks help to hero to conduct his sister marriage in a smooth way without knowing that hero himself is the lover of his 2nd sister.
After that what happens is the total second half of this movie.
Actor Santhanam as a comedy actor wants to act as a hero is a good sign but the story which he chose was not at all understandable ie., whether it is comedy movie or an hero based movie. We as an audiance cant able to differentiate what type of story it is exactly.
In this movie, around 2 to 3 members played role of rowdy character but while watching these rowdies on screen, I as an audiance did not even get an afraid feel of a rowdy. Whatever hero says rowdy believe like his pet dog with blind eyes which shows to other state rowdies that tamilnadu rowdy does not have own understandings to take their own decisions. The total image of the rowdy character has been washed away in this movie.
If you ask me whether a comedy actor can act as a hero role then my answer will be YES. I personally welcome santhanam for hero character/role but first of all he as a comedy actor must come out of his shell towards heroism to prove himself as hero which he tried but failed because he himself while acting has a total confusion whether he is a hero or a comedian. The scene where he needs to be showed heroism he is doing comedy and viceversa.
In between this confusion again another comedy actor vivek is playing some comedy role which gave little satisfaction to this movie for his action but overall, movie was totally confusing movie SAKKA PODU PODAVEY ILLA.
My view is 1st of all Actor santhanam must fix himself with a character whether to play a comedy role of a hero role in atleast from his next movie onwards to grab audiance attraction for his hardwork thats what I as an audiance expecting to Actor santhanam.
