Great Start....poor towards the end..!

At first I thought, this would be a movie about a hindu-muslim love fiasco with modernity!

But other than the Radio station named salaam namaste, I didnot understand the relevance of the name! May be as it for sure sounds zara hat ke!

The movie gives a roaring start, with drop dead gorgeous preity...last time my heart skipped a beat was when I saw her in Sangharsh, opp. Akshay Kumar (’’Yeh aakhein marwaengee ek din’’). And yes, Saif kicks in the scene with his tried and tested image of a happy-go-lucky guy!

Initially they dislike each other......but they chance upon each other at a friend’s wedding. Guy approaches girl...both feel there is some sort of ’clicking’ between them!

Our hero approaches the girl, with a bunch of flowers at salaam-namaste radio station! But the interview goes out of the way, as it looks more of a i-wanna-know-you then lets-all-get-to-know him. and BOOOOM...saif says ’’i love you’’.

Preity goes paranoid talks about the impossibility of falling in love with someone in just few days! But saif is unflinching! Now, this is the best part of the movie !!!!

Saif throws in a logic of not giving a chance to their relationship...which actually could be worth living for! Instead, going their own ways and then 10 years down the line realizing that ’’i wish I had given saif a shot’’. :)) I loved this over all idea!

So, the Live-in starts....things seem beautiful at first, as always! And then preity gets pregnant....(brave actress, to have accepted this...not everyone can carry the way preity carries herself!). Saif says ’’abortion’’, but preity changes her mind....and this my dear friends.....becomes the apple of discord!!!!!

Things go from bad to worse! And that was what hit me in the movie! You portray the guy as ever loving, understanding man...and just when the situation gets difficult to handle.....our hero shows his back!!! Thats crap....I mean obviously its a movie....but then what are we trying to convey??? Every other god-forsaken movie or say the serials...they just show the same...! the minute girl gets pregnant....guy will turn his back!!! I strongly resent it!

I understand we all have th right to lead our own life, too young to marry, too young to take responsibility....but then there are time sin life, wherein you have to stand up for what you love...or ya, give up, if you can live without it!

Anyway, as life moves on, our hero comes back on track and then preity gives birth to twins and they HOPEFULLY live and love happily every after!

So, overall, its a fine movie with all the drama without involving any of the family members!

Arshad warsi....was nice to watch, though he hardly had scope to tickle!

Javed Jaffrey...was the ’’cowboy’’, somehow I felt he was imitating ’’firoz khan’’ from khote sikke..which I think he did EXACTLY great!!!!

Abhishek chipped in as a Doc in the last scene for successful and dramatic delivery of saif-preity twins and arshad-bride baby boy!

What can I say......give it a shot once! Rather than later realizing that ’’I wish I had given saif a shot’’ ha ha ha ;)
