Hi everyone, have been using the Samsung 48" Full HD LED TV ( UA48H5500AR) model for almost 3 years now. Initially I was impressed with the picture quality because of which I went ahead and purchased it. The sound was always average, but then to get the best audio from these thin TVs you really need to hook it upto a home theater!
However over the last two years ive started facing issues, some major and some minor. Minor issues like frequent disconnection from wifi, some remote buttons not working etc. Major issue regarding picture quality wherein multiple grey areas have appeared on the screen. As per retailer, could be dust inside, which I got cleaned thoroughly but made no difference. Looks like areas of grey which really spoils the picture. Samsung engineers now want to replace the panel with a hefty cost and very conveniently this is not covered under warranty as it is "wear and tear" as per them. On the whole, its been a disappointing experience - not expected from a company that is known to be a leader in consumer electronics!
