Well, its not an AC, its a BC - Bad Conditioner
I got into buying this one, even after my bad experience with Samsung refrigerator(read about it on mouthsut.com) since I met a number of people who had a good experience with a 1.5T window A/C
Here is what I have experienced with Samsung AC
- All of its various modes like energy saving etc are useless if you want to sleep without waking up
to a warm room in the night.
- It can never attain and retain 18 degree C or for that matter 20 degree C. The room specification
matches the tonnage. It will keep turning on and off through out the time its running.
- The serivice engineer says that 18 degree is a test condition and it can’t handle high Delhi temperature.
Pray, why sell your products in Delhi it it can’t handle it.
- As with the refrigerator, we ran into cooling trouble in the second season itself and they again took
more than 1 attempt to fix it.
- In its 3rd season the Samsung engineers gave up on it. Its compressor won’t start. They said don’t run it below 24 degree C.
Finally, I got a local guy to look at it. He seems to have fixed it by replacing a condensor. Lets see how long it will last this season.
