I bought this tv when I shifted to Bangalore in Nov 2002. The reasons for picking this TV were:
it was flat.
reasonably priced.
always stood out for picture quality in showrooms.
allowed connecting to a computer.
allowed RCA connectivity from dvd players (Pb Pr Y) .
provides pip facility.
has a built in woofer and delivers 1000W PMPO of sound output.
later on I found certain more good things about the tv.
is able to store channels automatically.
has a glow remote , that is easily detectible in night.
works on a very broad voltage range 100V ~ 240 V
is multi-region, ie, supports pal and ntsc formats
has an inbuilt game
allows channel scans by showing about 5 pip screens.
The picture and sound quality is still outstanding.
The only problems I have faced with the tv is:
leads to electricity tripping when restarted after 3-4 seconds of shutdown because of my kid’s activities. Maybe it draws too much power output then.
cannot be connected to outside music source with the screen in switch-off mode. This does not allows optimum utilization of sound reproduction capabilities available in the tv.
