Let me be clear this is an unbiased review of the samsung galaxy grand prime. I am writing this review after using this phone for 1 year. Let me first talk about it’s internal configuration aka specs. So it comes with a qualcom snapdragon 401 64bit ARM cortex -A53 quad core cpu clocked at 1.2 ghz , an adreno 306 gpu, 1.5 Gb ram, 8 Mega pixel rear facing camera with led flash, 2 mega pixel front facing camera, 8 gb internal storage.It can record 1920x1080 @30fps.
The specs are decent. I am saying it clearly that it laggs! It laggs a lot! You will for sure need an sd card cos 8 gb is not enough. The processor is average, a clockspeed of 1200 mhz is somewhat below average. This phone is not for android gamers the 306 is a below average gpu. The camera I’ll rate 5/10.The display has a pixel density of 220ppi which I didn’t want to tell in the specs section. The display is a 480×960 pixel one you cant watch videos in hd the max resolution you can watch on this smartphone is 480p. The phone looks stylish and cool.
The wanna be metalic Finish938844 has been ruined after dropping it multiple times. The proximity sensors dont work now and have ruined my calling experience. The speakers are of really poor quality. Although I dropped it from 1st floor it still works fine.
