The trend started of using bigger size phones instead of small size ones from last couple of years. I purchased this phone in June 2013, it was newly launched at that time. And as the name was grand(big in size):p so thought of choosing it.
First 3 months the performance was good enough. everything was going smooth but as the apps went on increasing, ultimately the phone started getting slow. Performance started degrading. Phone started giving hanging issues. After upgrading to android version jelly bean 4.2.2, it became an hanging machine. I had to factory reset my phone couple of times. Software’s and games started to crash.
Phone is great with best camera, best design, large screen, an average battery backup(mostly all smart phones have an average battery backup), but you can use only 4gb of internal memory out of 8gb . 4gb is consumed by the OS itself.
The best thing for me about this phone is, this is the first time I didn’t take my cell phone to service center for any repair unlike my HTC wildfire which went to service center 3 times in a year.
PROS:
1) Baterry Life
2) Large Screen
3) 1080p Video
4) 8MP Camera with Flash
5) Text Input is Bigger since screen is Bigger
CONS:
1) It hangs a lot if you don’t clear your RAM often.
2) Only 4 gb of internal memory.
3) Apps crashes sometimes.
Sometimes it surprises sometimes it disappoints out of its performance.
