The galaxy j2 ( 2016) is samsungs attempt to stay relevant in mid-range budget phones. It has some features like TST, SMART GLOW, S-BIKE MODE.but so these features make this smartphone special in this competitive budget range. To know more about it lets get started. One more thing I wanted to tell you guyz that I am writing this review after 2 months of usage. my brother bought this phone 2 months ago, so I am writing this in his opinion.
So lets start with the design ,
1) #STYLE_ &_ DESIGN ¦ samsung has upgrade some noticeable things in the original j2 ( 2015) so that the 2016 version looks like an predecessor. So the screensiza bumped to 5 inches that makes the phone look bigger.some major changes are noticeable.
The overall design look as other samsung budget phones nothing much special good to say. It has the similar textures in the back panel. The galaxy j2 ( 2016) is the first smartphone with SILVER colour which makes the phone look premium in this budget. Still theres nothing much special in the back plastic body and the same camera bump. I would like to give 7/10 in terms of style and design.
2) #DISPLAY¦ the super amoled displayis the most interesting this in galaxy j2 ( 2016) . The screen resolution shot upto 720p qHD display. Since the display 0.3 inches bigger. The increased resolution doesn’t make the sharper viewing experience. Still the display is pritty good to be said. High contrast and wide viewing angle its all are part of this smartphone.
My brother did find some touch issue with this smartphone. Its like the screen can’t keep up with his fingers. But it remains the only major issue of thsi smartphone.i would like to give 8/10 in terms of display.
3) #CAMERA_ &_ BATTERY ¦ so the j2 ( 2016) comes with an 8 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. They performance not much good as expected still it does good job in some cases. The back camera doesn’t performe well in low light conditions. But the front camera really good to say like samsungs other falgship smartphones. The rear camera cant capture much detail no matter time you take the photos. But the selfie camera really performes well in every situation. In terms of camera I would like to give 7/10 rating. So lets talk about the battery life the j2 16 packs with an 2, 600mah battery, 600mah more than the original j2 ( 15) . For the most part the device goes through the hole day. But when it comes to heavy usage you may get dissapointed. You could achieve around 4 to 5 hours screen time while doing heavy task or playing high end games. While the j3, j5 provide more battery life in this segment. So I am not recommend you to go with it.again and again 6/10 in terms of battery.
4) # USER_ FRIENDLY & PERFORMANCE ¦ If you think that a 1.5ghz quad core spredtrum processor and 1.5 GB of ram is not enough then you are right. But still samsung told that the TST( turbo sped technology) reduced the memory footprint of native apps and it kills background apps to run in the back ground after a while, which increase his performance lag free interface. J2 16 comes with just 8 GB of ram and the half of the storange fulles of inbuild apps. So there is no storage to run apps from the internal storage. When it comes to gaming leave it, how we can expect that when you install apps like facebook and messanger it pills your storage day by day so there is no chance to install a high end game untill you root your phone. Thats completely hopeless and unexpected after the j2 ( 15) upgrade to j2 ( 16) .
5) #SOUND_ RECEPTION ¦ Audio quality is another problem of this smartphone. The speaker and the earpiece is not loud even in quiet enviorment. My brother use jio sim with this smartphone but the HD calling is like an night mare with fade and poor audio quality. I would recommend a third party earphone to get better experience. So the final opinion from my brother is if you want a branded phone like samsung and you can manage with low battery and performancw u can go with it. but if u are a heavy user I strictly not recommending to go with it.
