I bought this phone about 9 months ago. Device comes in a yellow attractive box. Opening upbthe box you get device itself, user manual, basic earphones, travel adapter and usb cable.
This is a 4G device that supports volte too.
It comes with a 5inch 720P super Amoled display. It has spreadtrum SC8830 cortex A7 X 4cores underneath the heart which is coupled with Mali-400MP2 and guess what? 6 years back samsung used same processor with 2 extra cores on Galaxy S2 that has 540p display. Now S2 with 540p display needed that 2 extra cores but with j2 2016 you get 720p with 2 less cores hence the device is stuttery AF out of the box. It started laging on the first boot.
It doesn’t have proximity sensor, so you will not get option for auto brightness, capacitive keys aren’t backlit, haptik feedback is disabled, it didn’t got any sensor whatsoever.
It has got that light ring on back and to use it you have to place your phone on front down and guess what? It didn’t got gorilla glass protection. They could have put a notification led on front but that’s not marketable, right?
It TST, that light on back are just marketing gimmick.
It has 1.5+ 8GB storage, out of which you only get 2 Gb usable.
It has 5+ 8mp camera and guess what? It can shoot only upto 720p, not even 1080p FHD and you know why? Because of that 6year old processor.
It runs on android 6.0.1 with touchwiz on top.
It comes in 3 colours, black, white and gold.
It has 2 sim + micro sd slot. It has a 2600mAh battery which even can’t last one full day on a single charge.
So if you want to buy a J2 2016? Please DON’T BUY IT.
You can get better deals. Buy redmi 4A instead at 6000rs, or you can buy redmi 3s/prime, redmi note3/4 or lenevo k6 power instead.
