Samsung recently launched this Galaxy J3 to fool the customers. Here is my review for this device:
Build & design: The phone is as usual built with plastic. Well plastic has its own advantages but to be frank, I am very much bored with this same build design which we are seeing with Samsung devices for over 5-6 years. Come on Samsung bring some change in your build of the budget and mid - range phones.
Display: The device sports a 720p HD sAmoled display. Since its Amoled, the quality is decent. But even in this dept. the competition is offering a lot more.
Battery life: The battery life is good, I cud get a SOT of abt 5 hrs with moderate usage. So shud be able to last you for a full working day.
Performance: The phone is powered by a Spreadtrum SC8830 with 1.5 GB ram. There are not a lot of glitches and lags in the UI but dont even think of gaming on this device. Youll throw this away if u r a gamer.
Camera: It has a 8 MP AF rear camera and 5 MP front camera. Both are very average. Except in outdoor lighting dont expect even average shots.
Speaker: Sort of below avg.
Call quality: Decent.
Updates: Being a lower - end Samsung device forget about any Android updates. I doubt if this device will even get more than 1-2 OTA updates and bug - fixes.
Sensors: Youll just get the most basic sensors i.e Accelerometer and proximity sensor.
Price and competition: The phone is priced at Rs. 9, 000. What Samsung? Is it a joke? Are the consumers fools? I mean when there are much much much better options available in much lesser price who will go and purchase this crap? If you wud have priced it at Rs. 6, 000 even then I wud have to think twice to recommend it.
Just dont waste your hard - earned money on this crap. You can get Coolpad Note 3 lite for just Rs.7, 000. Go and get that.If can spend 1k more get the 16GB version of the Redmi Note 3.
After reading the review you may call me rant, I dont mind. I am neither a die - hard fan nor a critic of Samsung. I just believe in presenting the truth about the performance of a product. But believe me despite such crapped specs, some people will get it. The reason is that these devices are easily available in offline market. And some rural people who dont have access to internet and are purchasing a smartphone for the first time will go to a local shop and get this crap. Because they just dont know abt the better options available and also abt the situation of the market. Also I see some people buying such phone coz of the brand name. They just want the name "Samsung" on their device. Well I cant say anything to them coz I know theyll continue doing this.
So I request Samsung to stop fooling the customers and just concentrate on their flagships.
