The Samsung galaxy j5 in itself is a very good smartphone but is it for you lets checkout.
Starting with the display its one of the best display in this price segment And it is a Super Amoled display and because of that the colors look really punchy but I think while being good the display is sometimes too sharp for me but its just a personal opinion.
Build quality in itself is not something new 3.5 mm jack on top, USB port on the bottom and the traditional home button in the center of the down panel at this time I really think samsung should change its design language the phone itself is well built but is slippery from hand.
Camera is a 13 MP shooter and it is one of the best camera in this price segment the aperture(opening for light to enter) is 1.9 and it is one of the key reasons of camera being good the amount of light enters the camera is more which results into good picture in low lighted conditions and as well as natural lighting.
Performance this where this device is a bit behind it uses the Snapdragon 410 the chipset in itself is good but something more would have been appreciated it is good in handling your day to day tasks and has also good battery management but where it lags is gaming. To put it straight it is good for casual games eg- Subway Surfers, Temple run, and etc.But when games like Asphalt 8, Modern Combat 5, Nova 3 step in the processor shows its weakness. In those scenarios Meizu M2 is much better than this as it can run this games even in high settings without any problem(Barring MC5 there is a bit problem there minor frame drops) and for fun part it costs 4K less than the J5.
Conclusion: The Samsung galaxy J5 is good for those people looking for a branded phone and a good camera and for those who are serching for better value for money take my advice and better go with Meizu M2.
