A good smartphone in this price range

I bought this from a retail store not here. I’m just helping the ones that is considering to buy this phone.

I’ve been using this phone for the past 5 months .close to 6 now, so I hope I can give a proper verdict on this.

I’ve always been skeptical about buying Chinese phones, yes they do have better specs, but specs aren’t everything , it’s how well the specs work with the software.

Plenty of my friends use those kinda Chinese phones and I can surely differentiate the smoothness in using a premium branded phone.

That being said I’m not a die hard fan of Samsung, I support every good smartphones that deserves a spotlight.

First of all I’ll list all the pro’s about this phone:

  1. Huge Battery Life : I’m a heavy user and even then I find it hard to fully discharge my phone.

  2. No heating at all : Even when playing graphics demanding games like NFS or Modern Combat 5, this phone does not heat up at all. ( I know how bad heating is because my previous phone was a Galaxy S2, and boy it lasted for 4 years of my torture! )

  3. Camera: okay this is not a s7 or s6 competing camera. It’s pretty good when there is light and it gets the job done for medium users like myself when it comes to taking photos on a daily basis.

  4. Look and Feel : I sadly wound up with the gold version. which I don’t like at all, the Black one looked better to me. And when you hold this phone, it actually feels premium.

  5. Removable Battery: This is a nice touch when lots of phones today doesn’t provide this feature.

  6. Front Camera flash: Even though I don’t find this useful ( I don’t take much selfies) I hope this will be useful for photogenic

  7. Dedicated memory card slot which is nice considering you’re not choosing between a second sim or memory card like you have to in most devices.

Now lets talk about the cons:

  1. Basic sensors like magnetic sensors and ambient light sensors isn’t there, which is a cheap move by Samsung in my opinion.

  2. Samsung Software updates are buggy, do not upgrade them! The stock version you get is buttery smooth and works without hanging at all.

  3. No Gorilla Glass, so better up a tempered glass protection.

  4. Back Camera Hump.

  5. No Notification Led which is not a deal breaker for me.

These are the only cons I’ve felt so far after using the phone this long.

So to top it all, its a solid build and super experience using it.

I would choose this phone over Chinese phones available at this price range.

I hope this review helped in deciding
