There seems to be a controversy about this model here in this forum!
Here is my share. I came across a piece brought by a user for selling with the air command function defunct and incoming call voice extremely inaudible.!.This piece I am sure could be an exceptional case. However, wouldn’t it be prudent to wait until good number of user feed backs backs up the 5 stars given by the affluents and early adapters who purchased it? If you are in urgent need go for proven models like note 2, and not guided by processor, pixels or never ending features, . be it Sony, BB, Micromax, Lava, Samsung.
See what is your fundamental requirements and look for good build quality and reasonable price . I recently went for an Z 10 but switched back to a successful bold model for fast emails(Push), typing convenience and business communication which are my primary requirement not pixel density of the photos. If you are a multimedia fan why not invest a few thousand and keep a good tablet as well so it won’t invade your priorities all the time.? But I bought a BB Play book years back for viewing some educational videos, and fascinated by the’bridge’ which I hardly used( a kind of Aircommand innovation)). Since I was in a hurry to buy, at the time of launch, paid double of today’s price.
Any smart phones these days can become technically inferior in a few months. Do you bother to replace your computer or laptop freequently cos a new processor hits the market? There is this hype created by ad campaigns with premium price loaded to recover the huge R & D or marketing costs by frontier tech companies, naturally.
It is clear that most low ratings here are not based on any objective user experiences, also it is a bit too early to comment on the success of the model, but it is a good advice that one should not fall pray to all such aspirational brands by draining the pockets with the peak launch price and true it depletes our foreign exchange reserves faster. We must keep enough for import bills for oil! Hence my one star! The price of the product is based on the marketing strategy of the company and customers have the choice to go for it or ignore it. The note 3 is not an essential commodity and there are other good choices till the price falls to reasonable level for a larger audience. My sincere hope is soon India will role out world class phones which can easily compete in terms of price, quality and features.
