The new feature in is a iris scanner but I will check it and then say as the iris scanner in Lumia was a headache and we had to open the eyes and keep the phone still to unlock it and if our hand shakes then it rejects it. The phone is good for those who were disappointed with the screen size of s7 and wanted a bigger screen . But who had the s7 should not think to upgrade it with this as s8 will lounch in 6 month and the leaks suggest it will be the best smart phone .
