Samsung note 7 is a series of android based high smart phone and high end tablets developed and marketed by samsung electronics.
On 12 july 2016 , samsung announced that it would officially unveil the galaxy note 7 during a press event in new york city on 2 August 2016 . Samsung stated that it intentionally skipped to 7 in order to synchronize the naming of the series with the galaxy s series .citing that the previous naming scheme.which put it one number behind the current galaxy series.
