Build quality
This phone scores good in this one. The fake leather back really makes this phone good to hold and overall build quality is very good. And this phone looks beautiful. However the only problem with the build is it does not have any gorilla glass protection.
Screen
Do not expect a lot here. Its a 5 inch 720p TFT display. The colours are nice but viewing angles are not. The black colour looks kind of bad on this screen only when you compare it with better phone. The screen is just above average.
User Interface and performance
This phone has Touchwiz UI and it finally does not suck at all. This phone will easily handle all your day to day tasks(unless they include heavy gaming). The transitions are smooth and it does not lag a lot.
Camera
This is something that I kind of love. The UI is simplistic. You have the pro mode that works fine. The front camera has ‘hand gesture’ where you show your palm to the camera and it clicks the image, its very handy and I use it very often. The picture quality of front camera is the best at this price point.
The rear camera is also good. Although the detailing is a bit low but colors are good. In daylight the photos look great. In low light the photos are average but if you know how to click photos, you can still get a decent one out of this phone. The dynamic range is very low and the lack of HDR does not help.Battery life
Its good. .
Overall if you are looking for a top tier brand phone at this price. Galaxy On5 is still a good option. However spending a little more and Buying J5 is an even better option.:)
