The question is weather to buy or not to buy!With the smartphones war on, I wondered if I should buy an iphone5 or the S3. With the specs, S3 clearly stood out to be the winner and of course, with the price too.
So, here is my little attempt to put pieces together on my review of S3:
Good:
Lightweight. Easy to hold.
Super HD (HD Amoled) display makes browsing fun.
Since screen is bigger, its much much easier to type that any other Android phone.
Fast (because of the 1.5 Ghz processor!)
Gorilla screen.
Just about everything!
After using the phone I realized that its not mostly about Samsung but the Android Jellybean which makes it a masterpiece. Most the features are Android specific and cannot be credited to Samsung.
The bad stuff:
For the starters, S-Voice is just ok. Nothing great!
Battery life is low. Play a few apps or switch on the 3G or use the internet for sometime and you will find the battery life dwindling.
Phone peculiarly heats up near the bottom when charging or when playing games / consuming media.
Design is bad. The plastic at the back is already up with scratches. But the Gorilla screen is awesome.
On the whole, I’d say this is a better smartphone that its competitors just because it has Jellybean and a horde of Android apps can keep it going. Samsung just brought out the best of the Android OS!
My verdict:
If you have a good 30-35k to spend on a phone, get this one! No mistake!
