We recently purchased this SAMSUNG BORDEAUX ART 32" Lcd model from AARVEE ELCTRICALS New Delhi. The buying experience was good and I Got TATA Sky free with this under a scheme. The installation person came the very next day and wall mounted my lcd tv. The installation guy was very courteous and explained me about some features of the lcd.
DESIGN
The design is awesome and I dont think any lcd can compete with it in this area. The design is curved from bottom and a configurable blue light adds to the delight. The lcd has an all around GLOSSY MIRROR LIKE FINISH which looks very tempting. People would like this lcd even while switched off. The black colour looks nice and everything has been nicely done in this model which is great improvement over R7. The speakers are hidden below the lcd panel instead of the side and are not visible even from close distance which increases its beauty.
*PICTURE CLARITY
I have a TATA SKY connection and the picture clarity is awesome. The high DYNAMIC CONTRAST of 8000:1 gives sharp images and the colours appear brighter and sharper. There is very little MOTION SHUDDER as the response time is 8ms. I connected it with my pc and believe me the clarity was excellent. It has 3 HDMI INPUTS , so there would never be shortage of hdmi inputs for dvd player , home theatre etc. This model is HD ready. It contains WIDE COLOUR ENHANCER AND DNIE to give beautiful picture and unmatched clarity. It also has GAME MODE AND MOVIE PLUS **which reduces the motion shudder and gives excellent viewing experience. There are 3 picture modes.
*SOUND SYSTEM
I dont think there is much to boast about any lcd in this area. The **20 watts speakers can only
deliver you plain jane sound with very little bass. If you like loud music you would have to purchase a home theatre for you. The lcd has SRS TRU SURROUND XT which can play nearly the same type of 5.1 audio from 2 lcd speakers. If you dont like loud music then I think the 2 speakers produce enough sound to satisfy you. There are 5 sound modes for you. With TATA sky I get good sound I dont konw about the sound with cablewallah.
*EASE OF USE
Some functions are complex but anyone would get used to it. The remote control is very long but thin and your hand wont be tired holding it like the tata sky remote. The inputs for cable and other are at the back of the lcd. On the side There is 1 hdmi input , 1 s vedio and 1 video input with a earphone out. The controls on the lcd are FINGER TOUCH AND ARE NOT VISIBLE FROM A LITTLE DISTANCE. The **side inputs are also hidden at the side of the lcd. The remote has all the buttons which reduces the effort taken to go to the menu and change settings. You can change nearly every setting with 1 touch.
*SERVICE BY SAMSUNG
When we wall mounted the lcd there were scratches on it. So I emailed **SUPPORT SAMSUNG and the very next day there engineer came and told me that because of the glossy finish it is prone to scratches and it might have been scratched by the dealer while checking the lcd. I told him that its not my fault and he agreed to change the whole panel without arguing with me. He said it would take 4 days to replace the panel. If you have this model do take care to clean it with the cloth provided and not with any other cloth as it would scratch the panel. I am very satisfied with their service.
CONCLUSION
Overall iam impressed with this product and would recommend it to everyone who want to buy a value for money LCD TV. The experience has been nice so far and it is showing me nice movies and pictures.
