Samsung Omnia (SGH-i900) is a fully loaded phone as said by my personal gadget geek (my bro). I feel it’s the most happening phone in the market not because Aamir khan is endorsing it but if you just hold its box the very moment you will fall into love with it.
And when you start using it you will be totally be in love with it. Specifications to be noted are 5.0 MegaPixal camera with flash and smile shutter, Touch screen, FM radio, 8GB internal storage and the owners will give away 1GB microSD with the set itself, Wi-Fi , GPS, HSDPA i.e. 7.2 Mbps(3G), quad –band, 657 MHz processor. With all these it is windows mobile 6 pro with Office mobile and windows media player, you get navigating software called route 66, and a software called MITs wizard which helps you back up your phone including your text messages, this software is not Samsung specific and works with any windows phone. The most amazing thing about Omnia is its user interface.
It has a sidebar with gadgets that you can use like a touch music player or a FM player, messages or any notifications etc. Keys available on the phone are phone answer, phone end, a central touch and scroll key, at the side one key which you can set to anything default it is camera and volume keys. On the other side main menu key. It has a stylus which does not fit into the body.
The camera captures very clear and sharp image, its cam cord is also clear only thing lacking it doesn’t have zoom, but it never bothers me. Some special features to be known it has- Samsung menu which is somewhat similar to i-phone menu. It has a motion sensor. Special thing is ‘Etiquette’- if you are playing loud music and you want your phone to shut up then just turn your phone up side down it will temporary put off all the playing sound and just turn it around and it will unmute without changing the profile.
I’ve been using this phone since 2 months and find it very useful whether it’s my college or my home. And don’t just read the manual and use it accordingly get into the phone there’s very little written in the user manual, explore the phone, use it as you like it. You’ll see some amazing features like- if you are on any programs or settings screen just press the volume up key and the window will zoom. If you are fed up with touching the screen you can use something called mouse pointer and use it with the touch and scroll key, you can actually use it as you use the mouse on the laptop. It gives complete freedom on storing as it provides 8GB internal + extendible microSD card (1GB is provided with the set).Absolutely stunning looks it has a complete metal body which is sparkle in the eye. Amazing battery life, network reception. I’ve never come across any problem till date.
