I purchased this Tv exactly one year back during the month of May. The warranty was for one year. the Tv was good initially but then problems started when the warranty started expiring.
I will point out the issues faced.
My warranty was getting expired during May 2006. During April end, suddenly a problem cropped up. If I switch on the Tv, exactly after 15 - 20 mins, the Tv gets OFF by its own. Then you have to switch of the Tv and restart again. Fortunately, I had the warranty back up. I called the service people; they came to my place and rectified it. They claimed it happens due to voltage fluctuation. But I was not convinced by that because the locality I stay in Bangalore (Indira Nagar), we rarely have voltage fluctuations. And the Tv was having this problem for a whole week and it got solved once the service people came.
Now my warranty got over. Now my Tv is acting really stupid. The Objects in the Tv got shifted to the right end (might be some problem with the picture tube). World cup soccer is going on and that was a big blow to me. I cant see the goal post in the right side !!!!! :-)
I have to call them and get it rectified. Since the warranty is over, I have to bear the expenses. :-(
The problem might be in the Tv I had purchased (You find a bad product in all models and batches a company releases). But with my experience, think twice.
