I am the proud owner of three Samsung products, a Colour TV, Refrigerator and DVD player. My Plano 21 inch TV was out of order on Sunday 31st July, I complained to your service Department on 1st August and my complaint No.- 8431170535. The service engineer came the same day and traced the fault to an EHT Transformer / IC. He stated that he will get the part within a day or two and replace. He came on Wednesday 3rd August 2011, replaced the EHT transformer but the TV did not start working. He claimed that the fault was in the IC and that this part is not available with the service department, therefore the TV cannot be repaired. However he charged me Rs.85 as Service Charges and gave me the bill. Bill Invoice No.15099, in spite of the TV not being repaired. According to him, Samsung does not stock old parts. My TV is just 6 years old having purchased it in 2005. Am I supposed to believe that after Samsung sells a product, no service is to be expected, because service cannot be provided without spares. If that be the case, I will be forced to take up my complaint with carious consumer forums to get redressal for my complaint. I have called up the Samsung Custome Care numbers twice on Thursday 4th August and was assured by the operator that a senior executive would call up, but regret to state that no one has yet called or bothered to solve my problem. I usually recommend Samsung products to all my friends and aquantainces but I feel I have commited a grave blunder and henceforth will never recommend or buy any Samsung product because of its lousy service
