The main feature of this phone which attracted me on the leaflet samsung
claiming a battery of 800mAH capacity. At present I am using a sony ericsson T68i with 700mAH battery capacity. which gives me around 7 days standby time and around 3hrs talk time. So I thought with 800mAH battery in C100 I can get at least that much talk time and stand by time. But I am getting maximum 2 days(48hrs) standby time and around 50 minutes talk time. From this it is clear either the battery capacity samsung claiming is incorrect Or the power consumption of the phone is very high. I complained to samsung authorised service centre regarding this problem.
The service person kept the phone for 1 day then told me ’’I have reset the phone , now it will be OK’’. Those with little technical knowledge can easily say what the reset means. How resetting a phone can increase battery life. So I could easily conclude that I get cheated badly.
One more problem in this phone is samsung saying they have provided IRDA in this phone , But the problem there is only hardware is there. There is no software inside the phone for IR communication. When I complained about this to the service centre they told me ’’ we will upgrade the software free of cost after the development in the R&D ’’. I am waiting when samsung’s engineers will write software for this phone so that I can use this IRDA!
