My budget was under 5000. As I was already owning Samsung SGH X700 the display of which got affected due to water.
I straightway went to dealer. got 2 options Nokia 3110c and Nokia supernova. I didnt do and research as I was satidfied with my earlier model and I opted for j150B(Emphasis added the manual says J150B). My boss too in the same evening purchased Nokia 3110c. So next few days we were comparing both the phones
*Outlook Appearance/ Screen Display*
J150 catches the eye because of its sleek , slim design. It simply hides into the pocket that you will not even aware of its presence because of its lightness. Screen resolution is good. The resolution is of soothing effect and sharp too. Well in case of nokia 3110 the screen resolution is not comparable.
*Camera*
Me and my boss phone(nokia 3110c) shooted the camera focusing a table top calender kept at 7 foot apprx. Nokia was able to view the dates of the calender while the samsung was nowhere near to dates. Also a slight handshaking renders the whole image blurred for J150
*Sound:*
Conversations are clearly audible. Speakers are decent too. There is a facility of conversation recording which was ok. J150 has FM too which catches the frequency in open spaces but find difficulty in house. Regarding the nokia the speaker was very loudable compared to J 150
*Battery*
After initial purchase I recharged the battery to full. Afterwards it lasted for total 39 housr of which I used 27 min TT(not continous), 40 min bluetooth(trf 60 songs), 1 song on MP3, 4 min Fm player.My obsevations abt nokia 3110c . MP3 songs on speaker around 2 house accompanied with medium TT and the phone is recharged on the next day.
As I have not tested the battery of my J150 for continous TT I cant say abt the same. My max TT around the day is around 45 min(not continous).Overall the battery remains for around 38 hrs
*Connectivity*
Bluetooth, email, MMS, WAP are available. Through data cable j150 can be managed through pc. The software is not that user firndly as compared to SGH X700 of samsung. The phone can be used as USB (mass storage) also the memory is expandable. The phone comes with buit in games majority of which are trial ones and has to be paid for full version.
The key pads are hard to pressed and not that convenient.One thing which I observed is when I keep the phone near monitor and on receipt of any call there are no vibrations in the monitor screen whereas with nokia the vibrations on monitor screen was heavy. My interpretation radiations may be less
*Conclusion*
At Rs 4500 I got the phone with 512MB card and for another Rs 100 I purchased the data cable from the street vendor. The features are ok my only worry is the battery talk time as I wanted a phone with a good battery for TT which I think the phone may not keep upto expectation.I wll give a 2.5 star for this Phone
