I had purchased Samsung 1 ton AC on 26th Feb at Croma(Indiranagar, Bangalore) and installation was done by on 27th Feb by Samsung technicians. From 10th March it stopped working. We would have hardly used for 5 days. When I called the customer care, I was told that I should be paying for damaged parts. I dont understand how a new appliance which is hardly used for few hours can have damaged parts and stop working. the quality of Samsung air conditioners are very poor. After paying 35 k, they expect a customer to pay for mal functioning of theirappliances within a span of few hours.
Later I got a call from Samsung person who said that payment for malfunctioning parts is non-negotiable. The service personnel later visited and told the issue with the unit was gas leakage. When I reached back to Samsung CEO desk, they responded back saying they can replace the unit after 2 months or they can refund. What is the use of AC after summer passes. So, I am opting for refund. Not sure how much they are going to refund.
The customer service of Samsung are very arrogant and discourteous. Apparently some of my friends have similar unpleasant experiences with Samsung. Never ever buy Samsung AC.
