During almost all fifty years of my life I cannot remember living without a fridge in the house and of course you always relate Kelvinator as a fridge because though you may be owning another brand you will always be asked whether you have a Kelvinator. Remind us of Colgate isnt it?
Anyway the biggest blunder that I wanted to relate here is that moment when we have to replace our Kelvinator due to old age(a good 25 years of service). We were at the shop browsing for a new Kelvinator when this salesperson approach and introduce us to this beautiful looking icebox which comes with a wonderful touch of colour on the outside and a beautiful layout inside. My wife immediately fell in love with it and thats it no more arguments. Instantly we bought it.
Just about a month of usage the topmost plastic tray broke due to just a slight pull to adjust its alignment.
Just about two months later we started to have a problem with a wet kitchen and we didnt realize it until the maid told us that she has to wipe the area in front of the icebox almost every day.
Upon investigations I discovered that water was actually almost pouring out from inside the fridge due to excessive condensation.
The great samsung mechanic came and told us that some thermostatic switch is having its problem of performing its function and thats why the wet kitchen.
Due to that there was already ice forming at the fan area at the back of the freezer and thats why the fan cannot turn and all these just at its infancy age.
I sincerely leave it to your good judgement whether to call this icebox a Kelvinator. Never judge a book by its cover!!!
