If you want to stay away from the crowd, go for a Samsung X-820, currently the thinnest mobile in the world. I bought mine couple of weeks back. It looks great and the performance is good. The price has gone down tremendously and it is available in the internet for around $250 (Unlocked). I believe, the initial price was around $400. When I got this mobile, my thoughts were on "Oh God....How am in going to handle it !!!".
You need more care in even inserting the sim card, charging etc. Taking the sim card out is another pain. If you have the habit of throwing your mobile or placing it anywhere without care, never go for a Samsung X820.
The battery does not last long. I have to charge it everyday initially. The phone is good on the other part like voice clarity, settings, camera, text & messaging, editor, multimedia etc. It has a 2MP camera and the photos seem good.
You would not appreciate the pictures, if you own a digital SLR camera. For users, who already own a samsung model would prefer using this model and would find it user friendly. I have used samsung mobiles and I found the X820 easy to use. It may take time for Nokia users to get used to the mobile. The phone operates in Triband (900/1800/1900 MHz) and does not support the 850 MHz used by Cingular (850/1900 MHz) network.
If you wish to have a phone that needs some style and sleek design, Samsung X820 is todays choice!
