During the promotions of the movie had heard the cast and director keep harping that it is a "Pure love story" but after watching it, I can say that there was no love or story in this movie.
The movie starts with Akash(Pulkit Samrat) a small towner trying to make it big in city of dreams - Mumbai. He is looking for a change to get to the Big Apple and is working all hours and putting up with a bully boss for the same.
The rest of the story is a complete mishmash of flashbacks and big lines. The director and writers have tried very hard to add some light moments of the film like the boss with an obnoxious ascent that keeps mispronouncing Shakespeare. But rather than making me smile, these made me cringe.
There are also very little places in which the movie makes sense. For example Akash is having trouble paying up the rent and yet when he is fired to be able to secure the contract again, he manages to get the money to fly to Canada to attend a yoga camp.
I was all set to right the reason why the makers tried to tell this was necessary but realized it was so baseless that I might save the words and the energy and rest my case here.
