Yesterday I had been there for consulting an eye specialist for the severe pain I had in my eyes. After the so called retraction testing , the person who did told me that I have inflammation in the right eye and that is causing the problem. I had told him I have severe pain. Then he said wait for the doctor as he will examine it thoroughly. from 5 pm to 6.15 pm I waited for my turn to come as per the token I was given. no response. those nurses who was calling the patients for each consulting docs, rather than doing their work, they were interested more in talking and and joking with each other when patients with pain were sitting there waiting for their turn.
Finally when I went and asked one of them, she told 15 min and asked me to go and sit on the other side. then after seeing no response after 1/2 hrs also, I went and asked another one. she said - we will call you. with that much of pain , it was beyond control to put up with such a careless attitude. then when I went to the registration desk and asked me to give my registration fee back as I would go some where else - the response was " sorry manager is not here now". I had to literally threaten her that I wont leave without getting my money back. then another one came and took me to the doctor. when I entered, that doc was literally shouting at me " you have to wait , there are patients etc etc . in full blast mode. when I asked how long u want a person with severe pain has to wait , then she didnt have answer. she was going on. then when I asked her finally - are you going to check my eyes, then he response " then for what else I am sitting here ’.
I had been to many hospitals. but such worse behavior from staff and doctors, I have never come across. the way she was checking my eyes, it was very clear that she didnt want to understand what my problem was - no questions. when I said I have severe pain her answer again " there is nothing I can see what is causing the problem’. if we know what is the problem, I dont understand why should we have to go to people like this to know what is causing it. she just gave me some tear drop which we ourselves can buy from the medical store and said everything is done and I still have pain in my eyes. so I need to go to another doc to check what is the exact problem.
How doctors can behave so badly. when it comes to their add and things they have stuck around that hospital - as its the best u can ever get but reality is the other way round.
