Santa & Banta have become an integral part of Indian Society, Whenever a joke is to be cracked automatically these two characters come to mind. These two characters have given us great laughs but same can’t be said about the movie Santa & Banta Pvt Ltd.
Though the makers have tried their best but have totally failed in doing so.Santa & Banta are two simple fun filled characters from Punjab. The plot revolves around Indian High Commissioner in Fiji Shanker(Ayub Khan) being kidnapped in mysterious circumstances causing ripples among the premium agency RAW(Research and Analysis Wing). Its decided that two of the most intelligent agents with the name Santa & Banta are to be sent to trace down the kidnapped High Commissioner but alas agents Santa & Banta themselves cannot be traced. This is the time when the operation in charge from RAW bumps into these two simpleton idiots & are transported to Fiji, then we have characters like Ram Kapoor, Sanjay Mishra, Jhonny Lever, etc. sprining up from nowhere trying to give apace to the movie, but Alas! What do we have?
We have a tasteless bhelpuri in spite of so many spices added to it, it’s worthless or we can say wastage of superb talent, time, money & energy .The movie has totally failed to connect with the audience, it looks like it hasn’t even tried to connect. The movie which was supposed to entertain, offer endless laughter has in fact made the audience cry as the audience question, why we have to pay to get punished or what wrong have they done to be offered such filth. Script less, music less, full of talented actors who could have been utilized to give one of the best entertainer, but what do we have is can be termed as the worst movie of the year. In all can be missed without any hiccups.
