It was end of May 2015 when we were getting ready for our kids school to resume a new academic year, with some previous symptoms(a year back), my wife developed unbearable pain on the left side of her stomach, the pain was so aggressive that she was unable to derive the exact spot! we first consulted Dr SAAD BELGAMI(I would rather call im SAD BELGAMI) so called urologist, he immediately advised an Ultra maybe suspecting kidney stone, this is where our horrific ours began.the lady doc who did the Ultra suspected some growth(lump) or formation just below the liver area.
She advised immediate consultation with a senior specialist to ascertain the growth as it was not too clear in the ultrasound, I went back to SAAD BELGAMI who just prescribed some strong antibiotics and advised a second visit post 5days, when I asked is it a thing to worry, this lunatic Doc snubbed me so bad that I decided not to see his face again, I found SAAD BELGAMI a very arrogant, egoistic and horrible physician, my frustration added when I called SAAD BELGAMI to "RECONFIRM" if the antibiotics that he prescribed can be administered to a feeding mother, he said "I dont entertain phone consultation, you give whatever you want, its all fine" and disconnected the call.!
Same evening I went to my family physician "DR IBRAHIM" of DR.Ibrahim’s clinic on Moore Road, he was shocked to see the medicines prescribed by SAAD BELGAMI which were never supposed to have been given for a feeding mother! Dr Ibrahim(a very practical and non-commercial doc and an amazing human being) immediately wrote an alternate antibiotic and advised to see a specialist Gasto
We went to Dr Gopal a senior Gastro at Apollo, Bennergatta road, he first advised a CT, got this done at ELBIT(not recommended as the scan machine is out dated with low pic resolution), still there was no clarity as the images were not upto the mark, Dr Gopal advised colonoscopy, got this done at Mazumdar Shaw Narayana Healtcare center, it was Dr Gayathri who is great at whatever she does, the report here came normal, the nest test was Laproscopy….finally we were referred to Dr Amitha Vikrama a Consultant – Interventional Radiology & Imaging at Sakra World Hospital, one of the best, non-commercial and humble doctor I’ve met, he put us so much at ease, reviewed the ultra report, CT thoroughly, asked us to fetch the CD of the scan from ELBIT, went through this as well and ruled out any cancerous formation, also performed an ultra himself(at NO COST), he suspected appendicitis which is a common and may subside itself, unless the pain is unbearable he suggested not to get any further tests or medication, penominal personality…since then my wife is just normal.the two doctors who inspired me are Dr Amitha Vikrama & Dr Ibrahim
