No value for customer, heights of irresponsibility

I went to Saphire Honda service center, opposite Bilekahalli, Banerghatta road, for my bike’s 5th servicing(paid). There was no real problem with my bike and it was a regular service.

The technician gave me an estimate of Rs 1000, recommending me wheel alignment, oil replacement, chain lubrication, 3 point check(?). I could clearly see it was on the higher side. However I agreed.

After coming in the evening to collect the bike, they charged me 1450, with no additional items in the bill. They didn’t even ask me when they were putting in extra costs. I took my bike home. After riding for about a kilometer, my bike started giving a strange metallic sound. It seemed something near the rear wheel was not right. When I called them back, they disconnected after hearing my problem. Pathetic!

Next day I took my bike to a local mechanic. He told me that the sound is coming from the chain. To our surprise, we found the chain had only been lubricated by some cheap oil, while what they’re supposed to do is put proper grease after cleaning the chain enclosure. They hadn’t even opened the enclosure. Clearly they had cheated me.  He even told me that the sound of the bike is not good and it seems the air filter is not clean. This, after they had replaced it yesterday.

If they cheat the customer so clearly, why should I go there? I would rather go to Whitefield or give it to a local known mechanic. These people don’t give a damn about an individual customer.

I would rate it VERY POOR.  They didn’t even follow up after my problem.
