One day in Satara...

Satara: a capital of later maratha empire situated surrounding Seven hills make it beautiful city at night.

I was in satara to meet my sister. It was thuesday morning I woke up 5.30 in the morning and went to AJINKYATARA FORT( 30+ 20min trek and mangaladevi darshan) which is just besides the city from which you can see beautiful city. Char Bhinti a Hutatma monument is in the foothills of ajinkyatara fort.

RAJWADA PALACE Which is historical building situated at the heart of city is major attraction of tourists. I was there at 9am. It is full of memories from many centuries and collection of some antic precious things from maratha dyanasty. Best musium you are looking for is in satara its AUNDH MUSIUM.

Then I went for SAJJANGAD FORT( the place where Swami Ramdas breathed his last) . From there you can see beautiful dam spread between many small hills.

When I returned from sajjangad at 3.40pm I went for KAS PLATUE( 10Km2 world heritage site declared by UNESCO ) . this place is most beautiful place and heaven in maharashtra having hundred types of different flower specieses.

After that I went for Char Bhinti in ajinkyatara foothills from which beautiful night view of satara city.

You can enjoy delicious food in Rajtara or many other hotels in pune. Local sightseeing is very kind there and city doesnot seems like traffic problems.

this is my one day trip in satara.

on second day I visited PRATAPGAD FORT, THOSEGHAR WATERFALL, KOYNA DAM and then back to pune.

This is how I spent my two days in satara and enjoyed lot with my mom, sister.
