I studied a B.E program at this university. From the time you enter into this place for consultation/admission you would be totally manipulated and cheated. Those soft words tat they would tell you during the admission is sugar coated with bitter lies. Do not ever believe these guys. Learnin atmosphere is at a worse state here. The lectuerers/profs are amateurs you ll never understand the subjects taken in the class. Class is a past time for both the staff and students. Almost at the end of the semester before the exams the staffs giv away bunch of photocopies related to the subject, which is how the pass percent is high.
The college is a crowded place. The food served here is good but the mess is the worst place to be at the college. It is maintained worse than the toilet over here. The university has rules for everything even talking to girls. But the college had recently taken a back step on this issue. But one cannot still find boys and girls mingling outsinde the classroom. This is because the management threatens and keeps students in a state of fear. Writing exams is almost a joke here. The stuff you write on the paper is irrelevent to the mark that one would obtain. You wud have to be the teacher’s pet to get high marks. You ll never be rated for ur performance or character but for behaving as a pet. Attendance will strictly be considered here.
Self respect is wat you can never expect from anybody ie. from the management to the security. They wud treat you like a person with IQ level below -5. The university has a good reputation because of the word of mouth. The institution was once a leading institute in tamil nadu. But not any more. The University discriminates. The christians are provided majority of the seats at a lesser fee/donation. Moreover the students from Kanyakumari & Nagerkoil are pampered and have to pay a much lesser fee than the others.The lab and the infrastructure facilities are barely ok. There is nothin much one can expect differing from other colleges that they proudly boast abut.
Guys if you are looking for a place to enrich your talent, explore, learn, enhance skills or receive enlightenment this would be the last place on earth for that. Join only if you have no idea of wat to do with your life.
