I have spent full two years of my batchelor’s life in Chennai, and Satyam multiplex had always been a preferred location to spend weekends. One of its only kind in the city, it houses five theatres and plays about 10 movies on a day at different timings. Mostly it is crowded with North Indian crowd as this is one of very few theatres in Chennai where you can see Hindi movies.
Each of the five theatres, Sathyam, Santham, Subham, Sree and Studio 5, has its own unique feature and depending on your mood you can select the theatre.
Romantic Mood
If you are in a romantic mood, go for Studio 5, it is the smallest and most glamorous of all the five. With very less sitting capacity and very less area of the hall, its like watching a movie with a group of friends. Only disadvantage here is, you should not end up getting ticket in the very front rows.
If you could get balcony tickets of Santham (which is very difficult to get), you could enjoy the romance of your lifetime over here. They give these tickets only to couples as the sitting arrangement includes two seater sofa sets with about only 30 seats in the balcony. The lobby of the balcony is carpeted and the quality of the sofas is good. Your gal can literally lie down with her head on your lap, while watching a movie. Quite an experience!!!!!!!!
Fun
If you are on a regular fun making mood, go for Sathyam or Santham ordinary tickets, having sitting capacities of about 500 and you can enjoy cheering, hooting amongst a huge crowd. This place is troublesome for couples who are on romance - I remember one couple had a tough time once.
Family outing
If you are with your entire family, then available higher class tickets of any of these theatres, particulary Santham would be ideal. You can opt for the lift to reach the higher class section if you are accompanied by old people and children.
You could enjoy a good family entertainment with butter popcorns and Coke. All these theatres have special arrangment in the chairs hands to keep your popcorn and coke glass. Its always a pleasure to house your coke on one side of your chair and popcorn on other side.
The cost of the tickets goes upto Rs.80 - a real value for money and much cheaper than other metro cities.
So, if you are at Chennai and wanna watch a movie, watch only at Sathyam multiplex. We watch only those movies in theatres which are shown at Sathyam!!!
