Satyagrah: Don’t Ever Watch it .. Not Even its Trailer !
Let me summarize: Prakash Jha has gone mad and thinks we are fools too. Then what is Satygrah? Well, you combine Anna’s revolution, mix it with a dance number from Chandani Bar, put in a romantic song right in the middle when people are fighting for their rights and BJP-Congress’s disgraced coalition political drama. Is that all? Also add, ’the guy who sold his Ferrari’ type heroics. Well, there was plenty to handle in those 2.5 hours. I was literally overwhelmed and decided to never watch PJ aka Pakau Joker.
Illogical Moments: Ajay changes his costume in every next appearance during Satyagrah. Bebo can always be found in a 10 inch deep makeup. Arjun blockades the entire city (what ?) in just a couple of hours and the winner is; the same Amitabh who could barely stand on this feet to deliver a small message to the kids and falls in a minute, not only wakes up after (I assume) 2-3 days but even goes missing. He walks to try to stop forces, appeals to public to stop violence and finally gets killed. Thank God!
Pros: Manoj Bajpai
Cons: Cast is ill-selected. Amitabh looks confused, Amrita is dumb, Bebo looks Bebo, Ajay was still Singham, Arjun was trying to figure out whether he is on the sets of Om Shaanti Om or D Day, other sidekicks must be clueless as I am about to as to what happened in those 2.5 hours. Just a tragedy called Satyagrah. The only respite came in the shape of Manoj Bajpai who does a good job with whatever he is asked to do.
Never watch it! It is more haunting than conjuring and will leave you unstable.
