Much has been said n happened on Sourav Ganguly’s current position n importance for the indian cricket team... I feel pity n sad when I read about these kind of stories for a man who has given more than 100% for a team and sailored the team through tough times ... He is the corner stone for the transition of indian team in the last 6 years and also his contributions to the world cricket can not be ignored n commented like this...Take his career... Take his leadership..... take into account what he has given to this cricket mad nation... just scintillating.....!!
What is happening with him right now is like you are leading a ship since age’s and because you got some problem with your eye’s n hand’s you can’t lead irrespective of the fact that you are better than any one to lead and also you have did that better than any one on planet..!! This is Blasphemy... even other players have decided to go with the board and against Ganguly.... Pre to chennai test when Ganguly was practising no player from the like’s of Yuvraj, Harbhajan, Pathan are ready to talk to him...!! Pathetic....Ganguly’s Biggest Achievement is .... that transforming Indian Team from match saver’s to Quality Matchwinner’s .... He has promoted Harbhajan, Yuvraj, Kaif, Pathan, Sehwag, to have their say... Now when we have a nucleus of a world beating team why the hell we are not ready to take the roots along with it..!!
How can people are blaming him .... remember the tour down under in 2003 season and his century(the best from his willow)...in Brisbane...he made 144 and guiding india to the best ever tour of the Oz’s.... We beat Pakistan in Pakistan which was something no one can even dream off... He lead to us to some of the best performance’s in World cup... also when it come’s to individual performance ........ remember Dhaka in 1998 ... He made 124 and india successfully chased 316....what else one can ask for .. .??? Bad patch is a bad patch and it will fly by sooner or later ... but Ganguly can offer much more to the team...he really does.
I am not saying make him the captain but include him in the first 11.... Every Leader needs to command respect and the followers should be ethical in giving him/her respect....!! Kapil, Steve Waugh, V Richards all were not excluded when they stepped down from Captaincy then why Ganguly.....He needs much more than what he is subjecting to...He is a Leader who has performed like a leader but facing terms of a Prisoner....!!
Ganguly has transformed people with immense talent but who were directionless to a bunch of men who can perform in any situation..... please please don’t make ganguly a Bad chapter in Indian cricket..... He deserved a lot and should be given his take....and his fan’s(me as well) will not mind if board will continue this treatment to ganguly...he is a God for us and will remain so because we dare to forget his contributions....!!!
