Not another war movie...

This is not your typical war movie. Yes there are times (especially in the begining) when those who are sensitive to blood and gore should look away and only IMAGINE what is happening.

But the story is more than the war. You get the opportunity to get to know these men whose sole mission is to save the life of someone else while placing their own in jeopardy. One has a new found respect for the military and their sense of duty irrespective of the cause.

The most moving part of the movie and without giving too much away, is when Private Ryan questions his whether is was worthy of the life afforded to him at the cost of others. Military personnel aside, how many of us remember those who died so that we may live with the freedoms we know enjoy? More importantly, how many of us live our lives with the intention of being the best and serving others in some capacity?

Definitely something to think about. And if you think hard enough, you actually might change your life a bit.

A must see!
