I recd call from SBI for credit card that they will provide gold card with 500 as annual fees but with 900 gift vouchers, when I told I do not need vouchers, they agreed for life time free card provided I mention this on my declaration form which I have to fill while filling application form. Even after doing this way, they have levied annual charges and there is nothing which can be done now as per call centre excecutive. Also gift vouchers are nothing but discount vouchers which are totally useless and of rs 400 value only (500 short of what was promised).
Additionally they have given one additional card on my wife’s name, I did not even applied for this also with wrong spelling of her name on the card. All the call centre executive are uneducated youngsters who will not understand whatever you tell them, even they cant read from filled application forms. Most of the time your queries will not be answered properly at call centre, they will simply say nothing can be done, sorry for miscommunication etc. I have had a bad experience so I will say please do not fall in trap of SBI cards.
