I got a call from SBI railway card people. They told that for the card they charges 500/- Rs and give back 350 railway points, Where each point is worth of a rupee. In return, They offered 4 to 10 % discount on railway ticket booked using irctc website. So, I went for the same. Now comes the credit card blues:
You get this discount only on 1st class or 2-tier AC.
To get benefit of 350 Railway points you need to earn 150 more railway point plus 500 SBI card points.
Since I normally travel by 3rd A/C there is no way to recover 500/- Rs by these cheaters. If any of above 2 conditions told before, I would have never went for the card.
It’s purely a case of cheating by SBI marketing people. Apart from initial agent I got the same promises with 2 conditions by SBI customer support. I am posting this just in interest of other people who may fall in trap set by SBI.
