I’m serving in SBI so getting card was never a problem, I got mine within 7 days and limit was about 3 times my monthly salary, was really happy with this. Also got card free of cost.
Meanwhile, I’m not a fan of SBI credit card and seeing other banks reward programs and attractive ads, I tried to apply for axis bank credit card and hdfc also. Both declined to give me a card, in-spite of reasons that i’m permanent employee of a very reputed bank.
Axis bank said that in order to have a fixed deposit of the amount, I need to have a card.
My experience:
NO hidden charges, everything is very clear, get free add on card free also. every charge is well mentioned on website and for any queries always get help of customer care.
Well, reward programs are a total waste.
Friends, one thing that I understand is that don’t use the card as a loan giving source. Be cautious with your payments, always try to pay full. I use my card for normal bill payment and completely pay off my bill in the month end. This will keep credit history good also.
I request them to change my billing date and they did promptly, once some charges were deducted by them due to some confusion which was resolved within one call and I got the refund instantly.
No annoying calls for any offer or any advertise.
I’m enjoying my card. This is not because I’m sbi employee but because i’m careful with my usage.
