On 20 March 2014, I have applied for SBI Card using Fix Deposit Option. I have made a fix deposit of Rs 30, 000 on just this card. After applying for the card, executive said only 11 working days or before the card will be posted to your home. Sounded Great. After 11 Days I called the executive to ask the status, why I didn’t received the card? He said he does not know the status go to sbicard.com and type the application number to know the status. The worst part is when you go to the site and check status always you receive "unable to process the request"
Then I sent mail to customer care on april 11 and got response on April 18 stating that-
"SBI Card Application Status: At the outset, we regret to inform you that as on date, we would be unable to accept your application for the SBI card.
We would like to assure you that our business decision for not accepting your application for the SBI card has been made in good faith and is certainly not indicative of your creditworthiness." In a nutshell they wasted my 1 month time and responded that card is rejected.
Do not ever apply for the SBI Card! The staff is worst, customer service is worst, better to for any other bank card.
