SBI Credit card is the worse service available Card industry, I have ever seen no credit bank can offer a pity service than this.
I’ve applied for an SBI Gold Card along with 4 of my friends from the same office(as usual, the sales person fall behind us and offered everything under the sun like Annual Fee Free, Higher credit limit, x, y, z etc) and all of us got a card called ’’Bangalore Card’’ (Not GOLD card, as they have offered ) and having very poor credit limit (equivalent or less than 25% of our monthly take home salary ) and all of us in this office been canceled there cards using a single cancellation letter with details of cards and signature of all.
This has also communicated many times to SBI using there horrible Call center phone and the response was, they normally will give credit limit as this to anyone, but thy can also increase it by another 10% may be after seeing your usage of the card.
The fun in the above cancellation is all other’s cancellation (except mine) has not been considered or not done and bank started charging the annual Fee and keep on sending statements every months.

As a correcting steep of above understand service, the bank (SBI card div: Chennai)has called me directly and apologized for the wrong evaluation and assured me that it was a mistake of there business associates (agents ) and SBI has offered me the Right card using my existing application details, if I say jus YES! (I felt something Gr8 since a Nationalized bank is doing at list a good steps ! to improve) and finally I said OK, after clarifying that bank can provide me a GOLD card and no annual Fees.
I’ve got the Card with in 2 day @ door! …!!!!!!!!!! My eyes where really glittering to see the card after experiencing the worse service… .. SBI really surprised me in the Courier…. AGAIN I GOT THE SAME OLD STUPID BLUE CARD with same credit limit 18K !...
What else a bank can do to a customer, especially in the ground of a hard competition in service industry?!!!!!!!
What I came to know abt SBI from my friends is even worse that this and I strongly believe that it would be better to SBI to close down the Credit card Division sine they have proven their inefficiency.
