Never Take SBI Credit Card
I am a customer of SBI for more than 15 years now. I was promised a SBI credit card with a significant credit limit(I don’t think 10, 000 is significant) and wonderful advantages and services and a Credit period of 50 days blah....blah....
I made a small transaction with the card and waited a while for the statement to arrive, the wait seemed unending and I dropped the cheque of the required amount 10 days before expiry of the credit period.
The day I drop the cheque I receive a call from one of their Call centres that the outstanding amount is Rs. 200 more than the transaction amount....Shocking, as this was more than 20% of the transaction amount. I was not given any explanations for the extra charges....after a number of instances of phone calls and hot arguments and letters to the higher authorities....I finally ended up paying the amount.
There is this feeling of helplessness when u know u are being cheated and u are not able to do anything about....It really feels like being kicked....
I strongly recommend Not taking SBI Credit Card.
