Treat it like a prison

Stayed in transit during our recent Kerala package, for one night, booked by the agent. The hotel is a standard tourist hotel which they call 3 star. Room size is good. But ambience is missing. The quality of materials used is also uninspiring.

I judge hotels by their driveways. This one had none. ts on a busy road where the taxi struggles to find a parking near the hotel entrance.

The lift is inadequate to even hold a family of 2 Adults & 2 kids with some stuff. The galleries are too narrow for 2 persons to pass. Staircase has a worn out look. The restaurant also wears a dingy look. The efforts to make the buffet seems like 3-star are not good enough. I don’t know what kind of clientele they are targeting.

But this group has lovely hotels in Munnar (Las Plamas) and Thekkady (Silver Crest) where we stayed with delight for the next 3 nights. Pehaps due to these later bookings in the Kerala hills, we had to undergo the punishment at Prison Sea Lord, Kochi.
